Over a week...

...since I've felt like blogging. I've just been tired, cranky, and not feeling so creative over all. May hasn't been such a good month for me creatively. I'm not sure if it's the mood effecting the creativity or the lack of creativity effecting the mood... Doesn't help much that the last week or so I'm not sure we've even hit 60 degrees and it's been rainy/cloudy most of those days.

AND, just to add to the fun - my birth control has gone wanky. I've been on Depro-Provera on and off for almost 12 yrs. When I'm on it I have NO monthly issues. However, my pharmacy switched me to the new generic version about 9-12 months ago. Let me tell you the generic version sucks. The last 2 times I was due for the shot I had issues about 3-4 days before I was due. This time it was 2 WEEKS before I was due! Needless to say, I have had my dr fax the pharmacy a "dispense-as-written" prescription so I can get the full strength version again. Of course, the full strength is going to cost me $62.50 every 3 months vs $30 for the generic. Gotta' love HMOs - doesn't matter if the drug doesn't work as well - if there's a generic available the full strength isn't covered.

But, enough of my moping. I do have 4 LOs to share, and a 5th at home that I didn't have time to upload before leaving for work - yes, work! Boss decided we needed to be open today as there is a prom next weekend, but I do have tomorrow through Tuesday off. I won't be back here 'til Wednesday!!!

Finally Friday...

Neighbors on one side had dirt being delivered by dump truck 'til 10pm last night, and neighbors on another side are having a tree cut down this morning... Sometimes I wish I lived in the middle of nowhere...

Dad didn't plan to, but he found a great deal on a minivan, and bought it yesterday. It's the same make and model as his, but 5 yrs newer and a different color. He had a 2000 Chevy Venturein red with black trim. He's now driving a 2005 in what was described as brown, but I'd call it more of a gun-metal gray or dirty gold. I have to talk to Mike, but I'll probably be buying the 2000 from him.

I got Mom a prepaid cell phone last night for Mom'sDay. I never know what to get her for holidays 'cause she doesn't really have any hobbies, and doesn't really need anything most of the time. But, I stopped by the house on my way home from my sister's Tuesday night, and found out that at one point this winter Mom had been stuck in her car in a ditch for over an hour. A "regular" cell phone wouldn't make sense for her as she'd probably seldom use it, but I'd like her to have one for emergencies. Everyone in the family exceptmy sister hasVerizon cell phones, and I found that if I bought a Verizon pre-paid she would get charged $0.99 per day she uses it, but no minutes for calling from her cell to any other Verizon cell. So that's what I got figuring that way she could call Blayne & Kolby from time to time on one day for $0.99. It came with $10 towards calls, and I bought another $30 so she should be set for a while.

I also wrote an email to Kraft this morning about an issue I had with one of their products... We'll see what kind of response I get before I go into that.

Diane and Kristine have a great Collab up for FREE! Click their names to get the pieces!

I have to shower and run. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

Where'd everybody go?

It's been a lonely few days here in blogland. I know I'm as bad as everyone else - with work being so busy I haven't had time to go say hi myself...

Mike and the kids left for LI last night. Normally they leave while I'm still at work so I have no chance to say goodbye to the kids except before I leave for work. Don't know what happened, but last night they didn't leave until just before I got home 'cause I passed them a quarter mile up the road... What, you couldn't wait the extra 5 MINUTES?!?!?! And, I still don't have a call letting me know they got in ok... I don't normally vent this kind of stuff here, but sometimes he just SUCH an inconsiderate jerk...

So, it's just me and thecat 'til the 20th. Not that I'm sure Dad won't be around on and off, but just the two of us for the most part. And, after 2 days of being left alone for most of the day, and then there just being the two of us last night Miss Kitty's all ready driving me bonkers. She had to jump on me at 6am to let me know she was ready to be awake... Worse than the kids I tell ya'.

I have 1 LO from yesterday morning...

This is a LO of my Maid of Honor, her husband, and daughter with me and the kids. We'd managed to lose track of each other as often happens in life, and ran into each other at the Lilac Festival on Sunday. I don't have permission to post faces yet so I blotted them out here.

Gotta' grab a shower and run for work. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

Off to the Lilac Festival!

We're on our way out the door to Rochester for the Lilac Festival. It's an annual excursion for Dad, the kids, and me. (Mike won't go...) Anywho- at least the weather decided to coorperate in the end!

Here's a LO I did last night:

Just a quick note...

Been scanning proofs all morning 'cause I need to takethem back to work, AND need to email them to family so they can place their own orders if they wish...

Today's the last day of the DD Bday Blog Bash. Royanna has a coupon for 1 FREE CU item from her DD store on her blog! Be sure to stop by and grab it. I'm not on her CT, but her overlays are AWESOME!

I'll have some more "samples" to share tomorrow...

I also made a QP of this page so watch Laura's specials and/or blog if you like it!

Speaking of which... DD is having a birthday celebration, and many of the designers are giving freebies on their blogs! Royanna is giving Commercial Use Freebies!!! If you haven't used her CU goodies yet - they are AWESOME!!!

Ok, so realize that these are scans of color printer proofs AND copyrighted. I purposely did not try to make them look better as they are not for reproduction. These are a combination of Brenden's natural ability to be a complete ham, and Gary's ingenuity for catching kids being themselves.

LOL...ROFL... I couldn't stop laughing for a good 10 minutes when I first saw that!!!

Well, I've got dishes done, showered, gotten Micaila dressed, and finished that LO. Gotta' go get Brenden dressed so we can leave a little early to drop off my car to get the inner wheel well fenders installed. Hopefully I'll have it back by Sunday, and it will work right - completely- for the first time since January... LOL And, Mike plans to leave Monday night after work for LI.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

So,... the big announcement...

5 days late...

Kutnkudlys Kreations has MOVED!!! Michelle Powell is now the proud owner of Scraphead! C'mon over and check out all of your favorite designers from KNK as well as many of the favorite designers from Scraphead!
-----------------------------------

Sorry for the abscence. I just haven't felt very chatty or scrappy in the last week or two. In fact... I've only completed 1 LO since my last post. Kind of a large grouping of elements combining to just make me feel completely burnt...

Just for the record I have to state that I never actually knew Teresia. She was my best friend's sister. It hurt Kandie deeply to lose her, and therefore it hurt me. Due to family dynamics Kam spent 10 years without her sisters, and going back to MI to live near them was a big decision for her. She even tried to move back to this area in the summer of 2005, but it just didn't workout. She needed to be near her sisters and Cole needed to be near his dad. Anyway, she is the sister of my heart and most definitely my dad's only "adopted" daughter.

I thank you all for your kind words, thoughts and deeds whether they were sent to or through me or directly to Kam. They mean the world to us.

At the same time, I haven't slept well any night since getting the news; my allergies have been off the wall; we're having issues with time off for Dad vs time off for us; work has gone ridiculously busy in the last week and a half; and I just plain have no energy or desire to scrap which is normally my outlet for everything...

I had the kids into thestudio on Thursday for portraits, and I haven't managed to clear out the senior abassador sittings yet. I'm hoping that maybe our 1 day sale today won't be as busy as Gary hopes simply so I can get my proofs done. How selfish is that?!?!? There's a photo of Brenden I just have to share... Warning Kris - don't be drinking anything when you check my blog tomorrow... LOL This photo'll make you spit!!

Gotta' run for work. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!
