Another LO and we're off!

I have 1 LO to share, but I'm up before the sun 'cause Dad and I are taking the kids to the North Pole Village today! It's about a 3hr drive one way so we're planning to leave between 7 & 7:30 which means I need to get my blood tested, eat, make sure I have snacks packed, check the "diaper" bag, finish charging my camera batteries, get the kids up and dressed, grab a bag to wear around in te park with essentials in it, do the dishes, finish uploading my 1 LO, and get dressed myself in a little over an hour now! LOL I all ready have the dryer running the 2nd wet load from yesterday.

Micaila's been asking about visiting Santa's reindeer for a week now ever since I mentioned we'd be going somewhere special today. Brenden's been all over asking about visiting Santa "but not the penguin, mouse or snowman" since they figured out that was where we were going for sure yesterday morning! (They'd seen a brochure I picked up.) I'm a little excited myself 'cause the last time I went here I was about Micaila's age! LOL

Tommorow I have the day off, and Mike's only working 6am-10am. We're hoping to have Nora and the kids over with Dad and (maybe) Mom if she's not working. So that should be fairly relaxing and fun!

Some Blogthings...

You Were the All American Kid
Popular but not plastic. Athletic but not a jock. Smart but not a brain.

You were well rounded and well liked in high school.
-------------------------------

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Midland

"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.

It's official!

I am now selling my templates at TWO stores! YIPPEE! WenchdGrafix and Digital Scrap Garden! :D I have 25 templates available in both PU/S4O and CU versions (so I guess that's really 50 templates) at both stores!
--------------------------

And, my blood sugar tested this morning at 103. I didn't eat a nighttime snack last night so I'm thinking I may start skipping that one more often again. My pre-dinner test normally comes back between 80 & 100 which is fine. It's my morning test that is still a little high most days. Just think - if I actually started exercising I might not need the drugs... [insert rolling eyes smilie here]
--------------------------

Micaila's getting anxious about going to school. Partially due to Daddy trying to run "practices" on the mornings he is here. We went through all of her clothes on Sunday - sorted out the too small, and the good/school clothes from the at-home-only clothes. This morning she came downstairs at 7am in school clothes convinced today was her first day of school because of something Daddy said to her. I still don't understand what was said... It took m at least 15 minutes to convince her it wasn't. So I now have a big circle with all caps "MICAILA GOES TO SCHOOL" on the calendar for next Wednesday.

She had forgotten that she has a special outfit for the first day anyway. She picked out a pair of black leggings with sparkles and a Hannah Montana shirt that doesn't scream HM - it's a black, pink, and white rock t-shirt with HM written on a small banner near the bottom. Let me tell ya' this girl has got some major '80s rocker-girl attitude!! LOL There are days we fix her hair, and I wonder if she's channeling a young (think Like A Virgin) Madonna!!

Gotta' run! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

Another one of THOSE nights...

So I didn't do the dishes before work yesterday. I just plain had absolutely NO interest in doing them. Bad of me? Maybe, but what the hell... So when I got home last night there are two sides of the sink piled high with all the dishes from Monday night's dinner on, and the pots from Mike making dinner on the stove.

(I've got to have a talk with him about serving sizes too. I know he's trying, but apparently has no idea of what 3/4 cup constitutes because I had 2-3 servings of brown rice on my plate last night, and 1 serving almost hits my limit of 40 carbs per meal.)

Anyway, at about 1:30am Brenden starts his "I'm-awake-but-trying-to-sleep" crying... About 2 I give up waiting for him to stop, and go talk to him. He stops - momentarily. Mike gets up and bawls him out. He stops - momentarily. I get up 2 more times, with the warning the last time that if I have to come in again I'll be spanking because I need sleep as he's now woken up all of us. At 2:30 I gave up. I'm so ticked I can't sleep anyway, and my options are either to spank him which will have all 4 of us awake even longer, or go downstairs and try to ignore him 'til he falls asleep...

So at 2:30am I am doing the blinkin' dishes 'cause what else am I going to do?! I finish them up, use the bathroom, and go back upstairs as all is quiet... to find the little skunk is fast asleep... ON MY SIDE OF MY BED!!!! I had to go back downstairs, and try to sleep on the sofa. Not normally an issue, but the windows are all cracked open 'cause it IS August, right? Only we've been having temps down into the 40's overnight lately so it was COLD in the livingroom. I ended up watching part of Something To Talk About, and trying to get back to sleep about 4am. The kids woke me at 7:15 this morning - a whole hour later than normal 'cause I was so tired my eyes didn't want to open.

Is that enough complaining for you?!?! LOL I really try not to, and lately feel like that's the majority of what I do... Tonight I need to get my posting bonuses for my challenges at DSG finished up. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

Exhausted...

I can tell you why I have no energy to do anything after I get home most days... I do too blinkin' much in the morning normally, and then deal with work all day. I got up at 6:17am, and then:
- used the bathroom
- checked my email, blog, MySpace and Facebook
- hopped to DST to wrap up Dawne's giveaway
- tested my blood
- got all the garbage together at the back door
- cleaned and separated a 12lb package of skinless, boneless chicken breasts
- put 3 pieces of the breasts into Honey Teriyaki merinade for dinner
- packed my lunch and snacks
- filled my gallon water jug
- did the dishes
- got breakfast for the kids
- moved laundry from the washer to the dryer
- made breakfast for me
- took my medicines and ate

At this point I should be leaving now to stop at the Post Office on the way to work. I think I need a shower, and all I REALLY want is my bed...

I've been busy as you can imagine, and my body's still adjusting to the smaller amount of food so that I'm fairly tired by the end of the work day. I had a carb counting class for diabetics last night, and didn't get home 'til almost 9pm. It was really aimed at insulin takers which I am not (and hopefully won't be for a long time to come), but it had some good info and got me a book with carb amounts for an ungodly amount of foods including fast foods!! I've been afraid of eating out because of not knowing, and normally eat lunch out at least 1ce a week due to cashing my check. This'll help. For those wondering my sugar was down to 134 this morning.

Anywho... I should have 5 more templates up in the store either later today or tomorrow, and am joining a second store very shortly!!! More news on that once it's complete!

Gotta' run! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!!

My Store!! (And health stuff...)

Did you see my announcement on Monday?!?! I'm selling both Personal/S4O and Commercial Use templates at WenchdGrafix!! I only have 10 up atm, but I plan to have more soon!! In fact, I should have 20 more up shortly after the 15th, and am thinking about making some combo packs as well. Any thoughts on the combo packs?? Like 'em... Hate 'em...???

---------

On to other topics... I saw the endochronologist yesterday. Well, actually the Nurse Practitioner at the endochronologist's office. I'm now on two medications for the diabetes (or will be as soon as the drug store drops the 2nd one off), and am on a carb-restricted diet. I'm allowed 30-40g of carbs per meal and 15g per snack. That means I can't have my Cryustal Light flavoring all the time as it has 3g per serving, and there are 3 servings in my 6 serving bottle of water. I have to go back and see them in 6 weeks. I aslo had to go back to the lab this morning to have more blood drawn as my regular doctor didn't bother to have a cholesterol panel done when doing the other tests...

I had my follow-up with Dr. Hillerman regarding the tumor this morning as well. It appears there are two types of parotid tumors - superficial lobe and deep lobe. As usual my body does nothing my half-measures, and despite his original diagnosis from appearance and size I have a deep lobe tumor. That means it is located UNDER the nerve that controls facial movement in the gland. That means he doesn't feel as confident about performing the surgery himself as there are now higher risks involved, and wants to refer me to a neck/throat surgeon in Syracuse.

Blogthings and a LO...

What Your Feet Say About You:
You are pretty average in your expressiveness. You can express yourself well, but you don't always want to.

You are a somewhat passionate person. A few things get you very fired up, but you're usually pretty laid back.

You are an assertive person at times. You'll pull out all the stops to get what you want, if it's worth it.

You take a while to fall in love, but once you do, you stay pretty attached to your partner.

You are not afraid of anything. You are brave and courageous, even when most people would be terrified.

You are intellectual and philosophical. You are more concerned with thoughts than action.

You are an amazingly hard worker. You aren't spoiled and you don't mind getting your hands dirty.

You are not easily influenced by other people. You hold your ground and are true to your beliefs.

-----------------------------

You Are a Coconut Flavored Popsicle
You are easygoing. For you, summer is definitely a time to kick back.
You are a peaceful soul. You shy away from drama and stress.

You are a warm and compassionate. You give everyone a fair chance.
Your tastes tend to be simple. You rather have a few high quality items than a bunch of junk.

Fred died yesterday morning, but I have Francis and Flip now... I also grabbed about 5 more tadpoles out of the small pool 'cause it's cold enough in there with all the rain we've been getting that they didn't seem to be growing at all.

Not much else to say right now. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!
