My sis is supposed to becoming over today, and bringing part or all of her family. Dad bought Waterhorse for everyone to watch, and I'm hoping to play some cards or the CSI Miami boardgame. (I've owned CSI Miami for almost two years now, and still not opened it...) I also have to run out to Super Walmart 'cause when we went the other night I managed to forget to get myself lunches for at work - even though they were on the list!
Some of you may remember back in February my boss had me create a "Showcase" album at work using one of our 2008 seniors. (You know - I got to scrap at work?!) These were very simple LOs as I didn't have any commercial use elements to use, and the boss wasn't in the mood to buy any before seeing what the product would look like. I used some commercial use overlays by Royanna Fritschman to create flattened papers for. (My boss doesn't have any of my overlay files - only the jpeg papers.) Anywho - he took the album I designed to an Expo last Tuesday night, and showed it to some of his photographer buddies in the Syracuse area. Two of them liked it so much they asked if I'd be willing to do theirs in my "off" time! Not real clear on details yet. They may only be asking me to do their sample albums - or they may be asking me to create their albums for the senior season. The first would only take maybe a week a piece. The second may tie up quite a bit of my time from June-Sept depending on how well they sell these. Each is a 10pg album with 15-30 images in it depending on the templates used. I created templates of my pages as I worked so I could re-create without as much trouble. I've also added a few since being asked Tuesday so that I am up to 4 single-page templates and 9 spreads. I'd rather have more than is needed than have to play with something at the last minute.
On the the LOs... I finished this Friday night before bed...

BEAUTIFUL layouts - very distinctive. and congrats on your possible freelance work!
OMGosh I can't believe all the calling around you had to do and then for you just to verify a few things and get the info you needed. That is crazy!! I'm glad that it is all done for you though. :) Good luck with the possible job opp. that would be so great!! Oh and I LOOOVE the new camera! It's the perfect time of year to get one. Especially once you'll be able to get outside and go places to use it. The weather looks like it is finally going to be nice this week. I hope you are able to enjoy it. Is all your snow gone yet? Most of ours is gone in our yard, If there is any left it is against the back of the house or on the side of the garage. Spring is here!! LOL
