Ever feel like you're on a merry-go-round that just won't STOP??? Every week I count the days down 'til Sunday... and then watch Sunday fly by! Today we were planning to go to the Burrville Cider Mill with my sister and her kids, but they thought we were going apple picking so I'm really not sure what's going on for the day. Still waiting for a call from her...
----------------------
The kids have suddenly started demanding dinner at the kitchen table. I know this will probably horrify some of you, but Mike and I have always been more relaxed - having dinner in the livingroom while we watch tv. That didn't change with kids so they've grown up (so far) doing the same. For the last two days they've demanded we sit at the kitchen table to eat dinner though. Wierd...
----------------------
I spent a large portion of the afternoon and evening yesterday scanning more of the negatives we rescued from my grandparent's house before it was burned to the ground by jerks. Some of them seem to be lost causes, but others are coming out awesome! Keep in mind these negatives are upwards of 58 years old... Here are some of the best from yesterday so far:
Grampy, Uncle Alvin, and two others I don't know
Gram, Uncle Alvin, and Dad
Grampy, Uncle Alvin, and Dad
I haven't finished processing them all yet.
-----------------------
I walked over to the trestle across the road from Mom & Dad's last night with the kids to take some sunset pictures. The kids decided to stay at Mom & Dad's while I went to take the pictures which is probably just as well since I got passed by several 4-wheelers while taking them. I used the pictures to create the only LO I got done yesterday which is the last challenge for September...

I have to go finish getting ready for our outing: do the dishes, get the garbage together, and get dressed. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!
PS - For those that were interested in the mini kit I posted the 4shared link at the bottom of yesterday's post! :)

Almost October...
So we're down to the last two days of September. Seems like the whole year has flown by. I finished the last of the DSO Challenges this morning - the Color Challenge. I made a mini kit with 4 papers, 1 bow, and 1 ribbon. I need to upload it to my 4shared account later today, so maybe I'll share the link tomorrow if anyone is interested. I do want to say that I am NOT up to par with any of the talented ladies I work for! :D
Here's a peek:
Many thanks to Royanna Fritschmann for her Bow Beauties 05 and Trim Shapes 03!
----------------------------------------------------
On a related note I have gotten permission from a couple of my CT designers to offer QPs from their kits here on my blog! While I am not super-confident in my design skills for kits atm I do believe my LO design skills are good enough to make some great QPs!
Pamela has all ready offered several of my QPs on her blog (If you search through the older posts I believe they are still available!), and Karla is using 4 of them in Charity kits! So maybe starting next Saturday I'll be offering some of those...
Speaking of the Charity Kits, please check them out here:

and here:
http://www.digitalscrapbookpages.com/digitals/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=7117
Each is $10 for a 10-page Brag Book created using the Fruits of the Spirit kit, and all proceeds benefit the named charity!
----------------------------------------------------------
Not much news from home... I did manage to watch CSI NY last night, and I'm heading off to watch CSI Vegas now. I have 1 challenge left to finish by tomorrow night, and am having real difficulty trying to decide WHAT to scrap. The last Monday Mixer for Sept is to scrap the end of something... Maybe I can get a new sunset picture to scrap the end of the day???
Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

Question of the Week...
I'm going to try to post a scrapping related question for discussion each Friday. :) This week - Do you still scrap in with paper? I came across a comment on a thread or blog about a month ago where someone stated they were "Bi-scraptural", and I just loved how that sounded! They meant they scrap in both paper and digital. What about you? Are you a digi-only scrapper, a paper-only scrapper, a hybrid scrapper, or all of the above?
I still work in both paper and digital - although I'm about 90% digital now. I'm also attempting my first hybrid project! I've just found it so much easier (and CHEAPER! LOL) to work in digital as Micaila & Brenden are at an age where they have to be in the middle of anything I'm doing - which makes for a VERY frustrated me if I'm working with paper supplies.
-------------------------------------
I've been up since 4:30am again. I finally fell alseep at about 11:30pm last night with Micaila next to me on the footstool, and Brenden upstairs... Then woke up at 4am when Brenden decided to lay on my feet! LOL I got up after Mike left for work to run to the bathroom, and haven't been able to get back to sleep. While I was in the bathroom I heard a noise that I assumed was the cat trying to get out of her carrier... apparently it was actually a raccoon in the recycling on the porch because when I opened the door this morning to go take some pictures of the gorgeous big moon I almost tripped over tin cans...
So far this morning I've managed to:
- do dishes
- create 1 LO
- catch upon posting LOs to about 4 sites
- gotten the kids milk and pb&j sandwiches (I swear it is what they demanded for breakfast... Well, actually Brenden tried for bologna & cheese first so pb&j was a compromise. YUCK!)
- clean up the porch
- take a few good pictures of the moon
- take meat out of the freezer for dinner
- post this
- watch CSI Miami's season opener (DVR saves me - CSI NY & Vegas are still recorded - maybe tonight...)
-------------------------------------------------------------------
I have 3 LOs to share this morning...

I plan to get all my new goodies burned to cd and home tonight or tomorrow so there should be a bunch of new LOs in the next few days! The boss is leaving work early today for another canoe trip! :D
Well, this has been a pretty long and rambling post so I think I'll let you go for now! I'm off to fold the load of laundry I washed & dried last night, get dressed, and it's off to work! Thanks for stopping by!

This and that...
Per the request yesterday, here is a photo of my new toy:
I hadn't let it charge long enough on the USB yesterday, and the battery was dead by the time I got to work anyway! LOL The picture area is only about .5"x1", but it IS a keychain... I'm very happy with it in any case! :)
----------------------------------------------------
Continuing the reminiscing theme from a couple of days ago here is my senior photo:
I won't tell you from what year though!
----------------------------------------------------
I spent the better part of the evening watching tv with the kids, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Part I on one of the cable channels. Part II is on tonight at 8pm, and I've all ready gotten a request to watch it with them... I guess it all depends on if Mike has commandeered the tv before then or not.
After the movie I started getting the kids settled in for the night, and managed to finish 1 LO while posting to SDD and uploading photos from Sunday to MySpace.

Another Jaylin LO! I finally have some pictures from beyond her first week! LOL
Oh! And, I almost forgot... I got RAK'd by Heather Manning & Carjazi yesterday! As a thank you for linking Carjazi (Diane) who is a member of Heather's CT they sent me the newest kit, Dirt Don't Hurt ! THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS!!!! :D
I also have new stuff from JulieK who has decided to move from exclusive at Divine Digital to selling at both DD and Scrapbook-Elements! I should have a busy and fun-filled weekend coming up!
Well, I need to go finish dishes, get cereal for the kiddos, try to create 1 LO, and take a shower before running out the door to work! Have a great day!

What scrapbooking item are you?
You are PAPER!
You are an all natural basic person who likes to act as a foundation to others. You are willing to take a backseat in most of your relationships and let others take the spotlight, while you show your support and help them shine! Underneath it all, you are the one who makes it all happen. You are the focus and stability in any group, even if you are not the leader. Others look to you to set the pace and provide ideas for ways to get things done. But Paper Beware - sometimes you get a little edgy with the people who look to you for support and can give them some papercut remarks that can hurt their feelings. Remember to watch what you say, because you are best when leading by example.

I have a new toy!
Dad got me part of my Xmas a little early... A few weeks ago I heard about this cool keychain I'd never seen before while perusing blogs... It's a digital photo keychain! I searched the ones at Target.com (as that's where they'd found them), and foundthere were basically two kinds - $29.95 for a 2Mb or $49.99 for an 8Mb. The 2Mb holds up to 56 photos, and I always hate that I don't have photos of the kids handy when I see someone. You'd think with all my scrapping there would be a few photos in my purse, but no! LOL
Well, Bed Bath & Beyond has a 2Mb on sale for $19.99 right now, and had a $5 off coupon for any purchase of $15 or more so Dad got me one! I uploaded photos this morning so I'm off to work!

Reminiscing
So before the kids woke up this morning I read through some notes from high school. Jeez, was I ever really that young? Of course, I don't have any of my notes to my friends - only theirs to me, but still. The inane non-sense that made up our world at that time... Who said what to whom, and who do you currently [heart], and are you going to the dance this Friday, and on, and on... YIKES! Seems like I was too busy for that non-sense, but I guess not! LOL
I also didn't find the ones I was looking for so I'll have to look at Mom & Dad's when I get a chance 'cause there are a large number of notes missing...
Then Brenden woke up... He was his normal smiley, cheerful self - for about 10 minutes. Then he wants a drink... Then he wants a snack (fruit snack pack)... He's told no, and then he wants a banana - which partially peels when he takes it off the bunch so that he throws a fit about it, and wants a different banana... He finally accepts the one he originally took, and proceeds to mash and spread it all over the wall, the floor, and the bookcase! BOY FOR SALE!!!
Mind you, Micaila is laying in a chair watching Shrek 2 during all of this, and I was washing dishes during the mashing and spreading episode. Overall not a great start to the day. I need to go finish uploading LOs to 3S, and take a shower before work. Below are the 3 LOs I created last night!

Monday again...
Ok, so bad me - I never got back here to post later in the day yesterday! LOL Honestly I was just too tired to bother. Saturday night between Brenden and neighbors I didn't get more than a half hour of sleep at any point between 10:30pm & 3:45am. I finally laid Brenden down in his bed at 3:45am, and managed to sleep until 6:30am when Mike shut the door on his way to work. So by the time Mike got home from work I needed a nap - and took a 3 hr one...
On to other things... The kids had a great time at Behling's yesterday. We picked 61 lbs. of apples. Now to find a recipe for apple jelly for some of these... Micaila's all ready declared we need an apple pie (which I haven't made in at least 3 years) and Brenden wants applesauce, but with 61 lbs. I think we need another option as well! LOL
Both kids rode full sizes HORSES yesterday as well! I thought they'd balk because they's only ever been on a small shetland pony once before, but they were great!

Brenden with Rainbow Warrior (aka Bo)
I completed 1 LO for the Template Challenge at DSO after getting home Saturday, 1 for the Element Challenge at DSO & my Font Challenge at SDD, and 1 LO Sunday morning just for me 'cause it got stuck in my head! LOL

Busy, busy morning... The kids and I are going to Behling's apple orchard in Mexico, NY with Grampy today so I'll be back later to post more! :D

Digital Designing...Do you do it?
Morning, all! So today I'm wondering... do you design digital papers/elements? I tried my hand at it a few months ago, and still dabble occassionally, but only for myself. I was trained on PS 4 -if that tells you how long ago I went to college - and didn't get to use PS in the in between years so I'm a little behind on the features and their uses. I get so excited when I learn a new technique to help me with my scrapping! :D I also now work primarily in PSP 11 with some work done in PS 7, and there just don't seem to be as many good tutorials out there for PSP as there are for PS...
At some point I'll feel confident in my papers/elements to share them! LOL So, do you design? Do you share? If so, where?
In the meantime here is the page I completed last night for the Sketch Challenge at DSO:

The Morning Rush...
I've been up since 7am and have done dishes twice, washed a load of laundry (which I need to go put into the dryer), started dinner in the crockpot, and completed 1 LO. Phew! Is it nap time yet?!?!?! LOL It's post this quick, and off to work 'til 5:30...
I'm still working on the Sept challenges for DSO & DD... I finished this last night for JulieK's Monday Mixer - Week 1 at DD which was a scraplift challenge.

Challenges- Do you love'em or hate'em?
Scrapping challenges... Do they get you scrapping, or bog you down? Personally, I love'em! I'll write down a long list of them, think about the kits and/or photos I want to use with them, and then I'm off! I've managed to complete 5 of the 13 challenges on DSO for September so far. I used the QP Desktop I created for Digitreats for the Scrappin' On My Desktop Challenge since I did design it, completed the 2 LOs I posted yesterday, and finished another 1 last night! I really, really love the way this one turned out:

In A Rush...
As usual everything comes down to the last 10 minutes before I want to leave for work... Mike was using the computer this morning so I haven't been able to upload my LOs from last night to DSO yet, but will do so after I get home. I managed to complete 3 pages for 3 challenges after 8pm last night. It helps when you know what you want to use before starting! LOL
It's actually 1 - 2pg LO which completes 2 challenges & 1 - 1pg LO which completes a 3rd challenge.

So It's Tuesday...
Yesterday morning Micaila was explaining to me how Miss Kitty (our cat) is like a frog... They both eat flies- yes you read that right - flies. Our cat will not deign to touch a mouse but send a fly past her nose, and the hunt is on! LOL
Last night we watched Zoom with Tim Allen & Courtney Cox. Really a good family movie overall although my kids are young enough that they lost interest part way through.
I have some of Dad's pictures from Sunday to show you. He ended up with 141 of his own so the grand total came to over 300 photos between us! Good thing we both work in digital! LOL
Just to prove it wasn't only the kids...
I also finished these two LOs for Pamela's CT this morning while doing laundry and dishes:

LONG weekend
But, not long enough... Thursday afternoon's fiasco was only a prelude to Friday and Saturday. It's getting to the time of year that not only are the parents/seniors panicking about the fact that they need to make yearbook deadlines, but also the time of year where they get more picky about what they are paying for. NOT that they aren't getting terrific portraits - 'cause Gary's work is excellent - but, more they didn't realize how expensive senior portraits are. They start looking for anything they can try to get for free.
But, yesterday was fun. Dad and I took the kids out to the large playground at Thompson Park for some fun & photos. We spent about 2 hours at the playground, then took a few photos at the stone circle structure near the playground before moving on to the zoo. I ended up with 193 photos of my own from yesterday, and will be downloading Dad's in just a few minutes.
I have to finish getting ready for work so here are the 3 LOs I finished after getting home yesterday:

My End of the Week Monday...
So starting about 3:30-4pm yesterday all hell broke loose at work yesterday... Between that time and 5pm I swear Sharon and I didn't stop helping customers either on the phone or in person for more than 5 minutes - and I think there was only 1 - 5 minute break... At one point I actually had 1 guy trying on a tuxedo, 1 mom ordering senior portraits from me, and 2 calls I had to return. Apparently none of these people realized it was Thursday not Monday...
I all ready posted about my evening so I'll just leave you with the 3 LOs I completed yesterday.

Playground Antics
Didn't have much to blog about this morning,... or the time to do it! LOL When I got home tonight I walked the kids down to the elementary school playground though, and got some good pics. I'm hoping the weather holds, and I can take them to the park and playground in Watertown on Sunday morning for some fun and photos. We'll probably end up at the zoo as well if we go! :D

So I didn't manage to complete the paper LO before work yesterday, but I did finish it last night. I'm in a Circle Journal Swap at GS, and always seem to forget the date until the day it is supposed to be postal... so it is going out 2 days late this month. I think my issue with the date is that I do so little work in paper at this point that I forget the journal is even sitting there waiting... But here it is:
Credits:
Bazzill cardstock, 3 Bugs in a Rug patterned paper, MM minibrads, Pressed Petals chipboard flower, Prima flowers, American Crafts ribbon, JoAnns Scrapessentials alpha clips, and large rhinestone brad from Target's $1 spot.
It's really quiet so far this morning. Micaila was up for about 10 minutes at 6:30am because she'd had an accident overnight. Both kids are back alseep now, and Mike's only ventured down to use the bathroom before heading back to bed. I have to head out early this morning so I can drop the car off at the mechanic's to get the muffler wired up beforeI go to work. It came loose on Saturday, and sounds horrible. Every time I hit a bump it sounds like it is going to fall off completely. And, when I turn corners it must touch the frame of the car because the whole car vibrates.
Speaking of work... what is up with seniors??? I realize they are young, and life's supposed to be a party for them and all, but come on... We've been sending out mailings - over 600 letters/cards each time & at least 1 mailing a month - since May, and we still have people calling us to try to get in last minute for their yearbook photos. They seem to think we should have plenty of appointments to do this for them. I work for a professional photographer - not a store photo studio, and we've even had a couple of parents who assumed they could just bring their seniors in without appointments and get photos done! Jeeeeesh!
Anywho - I need to go finish getting ready for work. Here's the digital LO I created this morning:

Morning Snuggles
I love mornings when the kids wake up, and just want to snuggle for a while - before running through the house like hooligans! LOL Brenden came in to the computer this morning to "lay on" me. (That means he wants to snuggle on my shoulder while I try to type!) He managed to fall back to sleep so I laid him down on the sofa, and he started snoring again. When he woke up it was to request that I come lay on him! I love that nut!
Micaila woke up a few minutes after me this morning to state that she'd had a bad dream... So I told her to follow me 'cause I was heading into the kitchen with my hands full... Well, I put the kids' cups in the sink and my empty soda can from last night into the refundables, and realized she still wasn't in the kitchen... so I go to check on her - not 5 minutes has passed, mind you -only to find she is so deeply alseep again that she doesn't feel me touching her cheek! Wow! To sleep as deeply as these kids do....
I managed to get 1 LO done before bed last night, and 1 this morning using templates. I just wasn't feeling the whole scrappy mood so the templates take the design decisions off my hands! LOL

Very late today...
I spent most of "my" time before work uploading LOs from the weekend, and most of my time this evening extracting zipped files. I'm trying to get my digital scrapping files straightened out.
Haven't really felt like scrapping today so I have no new LOs to show you...

Off to the train show!
Short & sweet this morning - not much time before we have to leave. Dad & I are taking the kids to a the train show in Clayton today! The kids are pretty excited so it should be fun, and I should come back with plenty of photos to scrap! (Hopefully! LOL)
I checked out a website listing due to a MySpace bulletin posted by Heather Manning yesterday, and found out my birthday is on National Hugging Day... What did I do to deserve that!?!?
I finished 2 LOs last night after everyone had gone to bed, and 1 this morning. Enjoy!

Journaling:
When I was about 10 I managed to catch a hummingbird with my bare hands... I remember vividly following it from tire planter to tire planter in my parent's front yard. The planters were made from recycled tires, and painted a bright shade of robin's egg blue so they are hard to forget! LOL
I must have followed that bird around the front yard for a good 1/2 hour before I managed to cup my hands around it. I was so excited that I had managed to catch something so small, quick, and beautiful! I had either Nora or Blayne open the door to the house so I could show Mom... who was in the bathroom. She didn't want to believe me so I opened my hands - just a little - to show her I wasn't lying, and wouldn't you know it - the bird got loose!
It must have taken at least 15 minutes to get it shooed out the door. I didn't see another hummingbird around our house for at least 5 years after that incident! Do you think he spread the word?!?
